9 Instagram Photos of Gorgeous Fall Scenes on Whidbey Island
Pumpkin spice lattes, cozy scarves, leaves crunching under your boots… fall is in the air on Whidbey Island! I love seeing everyone’s gorgeous Instagram photos that show off this time of year on Whidbey, and below are a few of my favorites (plus some info on where each photo was taken!).
Sherman’s Pioneer Farm
This treasured piece of Whidbey Island history has been a working farm for over 100 years now. Located in Coupeville, Sherman’s Pioneer Farm offers some not-to-miss spooky events throughout the month of October. But most importantly, their October Produce Stand is something special this time of year. Stop by to pick up pumpkins and squash (there are SO many varieties to choose from!), a huge selection of fruits and veggies, baked foods (Fireball Whiskey Sugar Hubbard Pie! Squash Bread! Strawberry Rhubarb Pie!), and gorgeous fall decor.
Greenbank Farm
This Whidbey Island icon is a must-visit spot for locals and out-of-town visitors alike. Not only is it home to some stunning scenery, but its festive autumn offerings are perfect if you’re looking for a memorable way to spend a crisp fall day out and about. The Greenbank Farm Wine Shop is also a treat—stock up on holiday gifts while you’re there!
Willowood Farm of Ebey’s Prairie
Located in Coupeville, this 20-acre farm grows over 200 different varieties of veggies, herbs, and beans—wow! Willowood Farm was established in the late 1800s, and there was a time when the farm was 400+ acres. The farm has a fascinating history, they supply several restaurants in Seattle with ingredients, and they even have a holiday market. I recommend checking out their website for more info on how to get their fresh produce, volunteer, and support this Whidbey wonder.
Eckholm Farm
This small family farm grows several tree fruits and berries, and they also offer farm-fresh eggs, pastured pork, and honey from their bees. Learn more about Eckholm Farm here.
Bell’s Farm
This family farm is made up of three generations of the Bell family, and together they grow vegetables, berries, and flowers on their 65 acres of land. For the last couple of summers they’ve also hosted “Strawberry Daze,” an event that celebrates “all things berry.”
Spoiled Dog Winery
This small family-owned winery is home to award-winning wines and an idyllic setting. Their beautiful vineyard is made all the more charming with their cute “spoiled dogs” who will likely greet you upon your arrival, and you can enjoy an afternoon sipping on their latest creations in the tasting room. On November 10-11, 2018 they’re participating in the “Autumn on Whidbey” event—find more details and get tickets here!
