OAK HARBOR

Little Britches

  • Located at 1508 SE 8th Ave, Oak Harbor, WA 98277
  • Registration begins in February

Little Britches is all about preparing kids for kindergarten, and little ones “are offered hands on opportunities to explore & experiment with language, art, science, math as well as proper classroom manners to ease their integration into the mainstream of the public school system.” They offer morning and afternoon preschool sessions 3 or 5 days per week, and a summer camp as well.

Oak Harbor Christian School (Little Eagles Preschool)

  • Located at 675 East Whidbey Avenue Oak Harbor, WA. 98277
  • Registration begins in February

The Little Eagles Preschool is part of the K-6 Oak Harbor Christian School, and you can find preschool information, the application, and tuition rates here. The Little Eagles teacher “share a common commitment to helping children develop in all areas—socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically and spiritually.” They offer 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day programs.

All About Kids Preschool

  • Located at 390 NE Midway Blvd, Oak Harbor, WA
  • They welcome parents to call or stop by to learn more about their programs

All About Kids Preschool “endeavors to provide children with every opportunity for them to explore and discover by setting up a child centered environment that promotes play.” They offer a very flexible schedule, so you can choose how many days per week is right for your child. Children ages 12 months through 6 years are welcome!

Der Kinderhuis Montessori

  • Located at 900 SE Dock Street, Oak Harbor, WA 98277

At Der Kinderhuis Montessori, “Our goal is not to fill children with facts, but to cultivate your child's own natural desire to learn and help them develop a love of learning.” This school offers both preschool and Kindergarten classes, and they have a flexible schedule that includes both half days and full days, making it easy to cater the experience to what your child needs.


CLINTON

Whidbey Island Waldorf School

With programs offered from nursery-aged children through 8th grade, at the Whidbey Island Waldorf School, children have the potential to attend the same school for several years. There are several different programs available, and the school believes that “The preschool years are of great importance in laying the foundations for healthy adult creativity and intelligence.” This particular school is surrounded by 100 acres of woods that children get to explore and enjoy, in addition to lessons in music, language, creative play time, story time, and more. COUPEVILLE

Central Whidbey Cooperative Preschool

This non-profit preschool not only helps children with their “social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative growth,” but they do so with the opportunity for parents to be involved.  Parents are required to assist in the classroom 3-4 times per month, volunteer for one committee or the co-op board, help with fundraising, and attend parent education meetings. FREELAND

Trinity Preschool

Trinity Preschool is all about providing “enriching educational experiences for preschoolers in a Christian environment.” They offer a variety of programs based on age, and you can choose between morning or afternoon sessions. A typical day includes free play, circle time, lesson time, snack, playground time, and singing!


LANGLEY

The South Whidbey Childrens Center

With programs for children 12 months through 5 years, the South Whidbey Childrens Center is all about providing “developmentally appropriate, progressive, curriculum-based early learning and childcare.” They also offer before and after school programs for kids up through 5th grade, as well as summer programs. Programs are flexible, and you can choose however many days per week is best for you and your child.

Island Christian Academy

Whether you’re looking for something half day, full day, 2 days per week or 5 days, this flexible preschool is for children who are 3 years old. This preschool offers a “well-balanced program with developmentally appropriate activities to help build a solid foundation for your child’s academic years.
