So many of our cherished local businesses had to temporarily close or significantly change the way they do business here on Whidbey Island due to COVID-19, and there are surely many challenges to come in the days ahead as well. In our weekly Local Lift series, each week we are doing a small business “boost” and purchasing items (services, gift cards, etc.) to giveaway to the Whidbey Island community.

Sugar Studio in Oak Harbor is a one-stop shop for almost all of your beauty needs! Services include hair removal, facials, massage, cupping, aromatherapy, brow and eyelash tinting, lash lifts, airbrush tanning, teeth whitening, and offerings for men as well. Sugar Studio also has a few fabulous package deals and memberships—if you’re going to go in every month for treatments, you might as well become a member and get a discount!

Chrysalis Yoga Studio
Formerly known as “Unsize Me,” Chrysalis Yoga Studio in Oak Harbor is a studio that provides people with a “nonjudgmental, uncompetitive, fun, loving environment” to practice yoga in. They offer several different types of yoga (including hot yoga), and right now, Chrysalis Yoga is providing free yoga livestreams and Zoom yoga sessions for their paid members.
