Many of our island’s small businesses have been drastically affected, so this Local Lift series is meant to serve as a small business “boost.” In addition to featuring businesses here on my blog, I’ve been buying gift certificates to each business featured to give away to the community. This highly rated local business was started back in 1983 with just 2 service bays, and they’ve been growing ever since. Now you’ll find a 8,100-square-foot shop with 11 service bays, and the good folks at Midway Tire & Muffler work hard to get your vehicle in for service or repair within 2 days!

Located right along Pioneer Way in the heart of Downtown Oak Harbor, Purple Moon is an eclectic shop with a little bit of everything. If you’re searching for a gift, Purple Moon is bound to have something that’s just right in their extensive selection of unique home decor, gorgeous dishware, premium candles, incense, locally made food, beautifully crafted jewelry, rocks and crystals, gag gifts, luxe beauty products, cute apparel, charming figurines, etc.

Located in Oak Harbor, Nite Owl Tattoo is a family-owned business providing custom, quality artwork and excellent professionalism and customer service. If you’re curious to learn more about the type of artwork you can expect, you’ll find hundreds of examples on their Facebook page and Instagram. Their Facebook is also abuzz with raving reviews of people who are not only excited and impressed with their tattoo work, but are looking forward to returning to the shop for more ink in the future.
