Local Lift: The Farm Stand, El Cazador, & Polished Studio GIVEAWAY

This week’s Local Lift features a few incredible Oak Harbor businesses that Whidbey Island residents just rave about! Whether you’d like to stock up on fresh spring produce, enjoy a much-needed evening out with delicious food and drinks, or get a complete makeover, this Local Lift shines the spotlight on businesses that offer all of this and more.

With each Local Lift, my intention is to offer a “small business boost.” This Local Lift feature was started over one year ago at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to purchasing gift cards to local businesses to give away to the community, I also spotlight each business at the same time. Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest giveaway!

This week’s giveaway includes:

  • Two $25 certificates to The Farm Stand

  • Two $50 cards to El Cazador

  • Two $70 cards to Polished Studio

Winners will be drawn at random. To enter, head on over to this Facebook post and follow the instructions. (All you have to do is leave a comment on the linked Facebook post to enter!) Deadline for giveaway entries is 5pm PST on Tuesday, April 27.

The Farm Stand (K&R Farms)

The Farm Stand is an iconic Whidbey Island mainstay! Located in Oak Harbor in a scenic, country setting, this family-owned and operated farm stand is a treat to visit. Stop by for dessert on a hot day—they have 20+ flavors of shaved ice and 32 ice cream flavors on rotation (plus fresh waffle cones, of course!). You can also do some of your grocery shopping here—there’s lots of fresh produce that varies depending on the season, and there’s also a huge variety of jams, salsas, dressings, pickled veggies, and more to choose from! (This is a great spot to buy gifts!) The Farm Stand also sells fresh local raw honey, fresh flowers, and during autumn they have a pumpkin patch.

Learn more about The Farm Stand here, and follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates on their latest products.

El Cazador Mexican Grill and Cantina

El Cazador in Oak Harbor is offering takeout, curbside pickup, delivery, AND they had 50% capacity indoor dining. (They’ve even expanded seating in their outdoor beer garden just in time for summer!) El Cazador has been serving scratch-made traditional Mexican food in Whidbey Island since 1982, and they’re a community favorite. Their huge menu has something to keep everyone in from group happy, and in addition to classics like burritos, enchiladas, tacos, salads, steak, and seafood (check out the complete food menu here!), you can order breakfast all day. El Cazador also has an impressive and extensive drink menu including standout favorites like the Chocolate Horchata Martini and the Tamarind Pineapple Margarita.

Check out all of the details on El Cazador’s website (including Happy Hour info!), and follow El Cazador Mexican Grill and Cantina on Facebook and Instagram for updates on events, menu specials, etc.
