Local Lift: The Tipsy Jellyfish, Toppins Frozen Yogurt, & Jumbo Burrito GIVEAWAY
This week’s Local Lift features popular Whidbey Island businesses that serve up delicious drinks and tasty treats! Thanks for stopping by to learn more about these businesses, all of which are in Oak Harbor. This ongoing Local Lift feature is something that I started at the beginning of Covid as a way to give small businesses a “boost.” With each giveaway, I purchase gift certificates to the featured businesses to give away to locals. The Tipsy Jellyfish
Situated in the heart of Downtown Oak Harbor, The Tipsy Jellyfish opened up just this past spring! The Tipsy Jellyfish serves up craft beer, cider, and world-class wine, so it’s a must visit for those who are inclined to imbibe. The thoughtfully curated menu featuring drinks from around the world is sure to delight beer aficionados, cider lovers, and wine connoisseurs alike!
At the moment The Tipsy Jellyfish is not serving food, but they are totally cool if you’d like to bring your own. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 4pm - 10pm everyday, and closed on Mondays and Sundays. Toppins Frozen Yogurt
Located in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, Toppins Frozen Yogurt is a local favorite, and it’s also the perfect spot to grab a cold treat this summer! Flavors rotate so you can always try something new; to give you a sense of what to expect, just a few of the current flavors include cake batter, Dutch chocolate, banana bliss, EuroTart, Huckleberry, Dole pineapple (non-dairy), pomegranate raspberry sorbet…. and much more! And, of course, as the name Toppins suggests, this frozen yogurt shop is truly all about the toppings! There are always 80+ toppings at the ready (!!!), including fresh fruit, crushed nuts, boba, sauces, candy (including crushed up candy bars), cereal, sprinkles… you name it!

Jumbo Burrito
Jumbo Burrito is one of those places that people truly rave about (as evidence by all of their 5-star ratings on Yelp)! Don’t overlook this popular spot because of it’s unassuming exterior—inside, you’ll find a mouthwatering menu. In addition to jumbo burritos (the burritos really are massive and truly live up to their name), the menu includes Cali burritos, tortas, taco salads, nachos, tacos, sopes, quesadillas, and more. You can drop by for a quick, hearty meal, or you can get Jumbo Burrito to cater your next event.
