Local Lift: Skagit Cycle Center in Oak Harbor, Frasers Gourmet Hideaway, and Woody’s Car Wash GIVEAWAY
Thanks for stopping by to check out this week’s Local Lift giveaway! Local Lift is a “small business boost” series that I started at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of our local businesses on Whidbey Island have experienced significant challenges due to the pandemic, and in addition to spotlighting local businesses in this series, I’ve also been buying gift cards to businesses to give away to Whidbey Island residents. Skagit Cycle Center (in Oak Harbor)
Skagit Cycle Center is your one-stop-shop for all things bike-related on Whidbey Island. Located right on Pioneer Way in Oak Harbor (Skagit Cycle Center also has locations in Anacortes and Burlington), you’ll find bikes, bike parts, car racks, accessories, helmets, shoes, and clothing, plus a large range of services that will help you keep your bike in its best condition. (I was not joking when I said “one-stop-shop”! They really have and do everything!) If you’re in the market to buy a new bike, they have a huge variety to choose from, whether you’re searching for a mountain bike, a cruiser, an electric bike, a children’s bike, etc. And if you’re not sure what you want, no problem—they can help you figure that out, too!

Frasers Gourmet Hideaway
Located on Dock Street in Oak Harbor, Frasers Gourmet Hideaway is a Whidbey Island mainstay. Frasers offers an upscale dining experience, and these days you can experience their rave-worthy cuisine thanks to their takeout options! Frasers is serving up precooked, ready to reheat meals that you can order Monday through Thursday and pickup curbside on the following Saturday. Each week you can visit their website to see what they have to choose from on the menu, and examples of their previous takeout meals include choices like lobster mac & cheese, chicken cordon bleu, vegetable gnocchi, crab cakes, tomato and burrata salad, tiramisu, bread pudding, and more. Plus, they have an extensive selection of to-go cocktails and wines to choose from so you really can enjoy the full experience!
Frasers Gourmet Hideaway also has gift cards you can purchase online (either for in-store pickup or you can have it shipped somewhere) which is the perfect way to give a gift from afar these days. Woody’s Car Wash
Located at 1551 SW Beeksma Dr, Oak Harbor, WA 98277 right across the street from Windjammer Park, Woody’s Car Wash is popular spot that locals love. People appreciate the fact that the car wash is affordable AND they love the great job the automatic washer does!
