This Local Lift has DOUBLE the amount of giveaways as usual, just for fun!
In case you’re new to this Local Lift feature, welcome! This is a feature that I started at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as a “small business boost.” I purchase gift cards to local small businesses to give away to the Whidbey Island community, and spotlight the businesses along the way. For those of you who are not new here—thank you so much for following along and for joining me in giving all of our incredible small businesses here on Whidbey Island a “boost” during these tough times!

Located in Oak Harbor, Allure Salon and Spa focuses on haircuts, hair color, and hair styling. Allure takes hair coloring and highlighting very seriously, and they offer everything from roof touch up and partial foils to all over color, balayage, ombre, corrective color and more. Esteban's Mexican Restaurant
This popular local Mexican restaurant in Oak Harbor is known for their large portions, excellent service, and a laid-back family-friendly atmosphere, and people rave about everything from their fresh chips and salsa to their amazing margaritas… and everything in between! Cafe De Lisio
Cafe De Lisio in Oak Harbor has a truly impressive menu: in fact there are literally 100s of drinks to choose from. For starters, click here to check out their unique flavored Red Bull drinks—there are dozens and dozens of different flavor combos so you can always try something new. The same is true for other specialty drinks; click here to check out all of their different mocha and latte flavor combos. Of course, they also serve the classics—coffee, tea, and snacks. It’s the perfect spot to drop by when you need a convenient energy boost or just want to treat yourself to something special (plus, there’s even a drive-thru!). The Mill at The Kasteel
Located in a traditional Dutch historical building, The Mill at The Kasteel is amazing! First of all, the space is amazing—it’s huge, and the tables are spread out which is perfect for indoor dining. (They also do takeout!) The Mill at The Kasteel “…specializes in blending traditional foods and flavors with a Mexican influence,” and their extensive menu has something for everyone. Fresh salads, sandwiches, steaks, pastas, authentic Mexican specialties and much, much more are all in the mix. V-Tech Nails
V-Tech Nails is located in Oak Harbor, and this popular nail salon receives rave reviews from their clients. If your nails need a makeover and a fresh look, V-Tech Nails has got you covered for an affordable price. V-Tech offers a huge range of different types of manicures and pedicures, and you can even get waxed while you’re there. It’s a “one stop shop” type of place that’s perfect for when you need a complete refresh! Berry Bay Smoothies
Whidbey Island locals absolutely adore Berry Bay (as you can see from their Yelp reviews!). Located in Oak Harbor, this popular smoothie and juice bar serves up an extensive menu of refreshing smoothies, indulgent froyo-blends, delicious smoothie bowls, drinks (including freshly squeezed juice), and a selected of snacks and desserts.
