We’re in the midst of Phase 2 here on Whidbey Island, and it’s so wonderful to be able to dine out again, visit our favorite shops in person, and of course, get much-needed haircuts and beauty treatments!
Our local businesses have all experienced hardships as a result of COVID-19 closures and restrictions, and we have been trying to help our local Whidbey Island economy by doing weekly small business “boosts”!

Ciao
Located in Downtown Coupeville, Ciao offers an extensive menu of Italian favorites with a focus on their Neapolitan pizza that’s made completely by hand. Ciao’s impressive pizza menu includes a large variety of toppings—bacon, shrimp, figs, prosciutto, arugula, jalapenos, pepperoni, roasted garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, zucchini, yellow squash, onions, artichoke hearts, and of course, lots of different cheese are all in the mix on their speciality creations.
Ciao’s mouthwatering menu also includes wood-fired flatbreads, various charcuterie boards, salads (including caprese salad and tabouli), sandwiches on fresh baked ciabatta bread, classic pasta dishes, lasagna, ravioli, and a few Mediterranean dishes too, from Middle-Eastern meatballs to hummus made from “Grandma’s old country recipe” and babaganooj.

Hai Nail Spa
Located in Oak Harbor at 31600 WA-20, Oak Harbor, WA (in the building right next to Seabolt’s Smokehouse), Hai Nail Spa garners a fantastic 4.5 rating on Yelp and Google, and locals seriously love this salon! People rave about the relaxing atmosphere and the great service, and of course, the high-quality manicures and pedicures will leave you feeling and looking your best. No Jose Cafe
Nestled right in the heart of Downtown Oak Harbor, No Jose Cafe is a laid-back, family-friendly restaurant that serves up delicious Mexican cuisine. You can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, and favorite dishes include huevos rancheros, chimichanga, breakfast quesadillas, enchiladas, and chicken taquitos… but as Yelp reviewers point out, it’s hard to choose a favorite!

Paint Your World
Whether you’re looking for a unique party idea, you’d like to create a special one-of-a-kind gift for someone, or you’re just feeling creative, Paint Your World in Oak Harbor makes it easy to create a beautiful piece of art that you can treasure for years to come! Paint Your World has over 500 pottery items that you can choose from, and you get to paint and finish it however you want—use stencils, paint your item in your favorite colors, you name it! Zanini’s Catering & Events
Located at 55 NE Ernst Street, Oak Harbor behind Flyer's Restaurant, family-owned Zanini’s Catering doesn’t just cater parties and events—they’ll make you dinner to go, too! Currently, you can order special Sunday dinners where everything you need for a complete meal is packaged up to go for you. This weekend’s meals, for example, include Auntie Jackie’s Lasagna (you even have the option for meat sauce or a vegetarian-friendly version), caesar salad, and homemade focaccia bread.
You can also add other items like bruschetta, meatballs, Italian cookies, Italian lemon cake and more to your order, and the menu changes every week, so be sure to check back here to see the latest offerings.
